What exactly does "Grain Finished" mean?
The cows that will be consumed are specifically fed 100% All natural, No hormones, Non GMO, No Antibiotics, Soy Free grain made with cottonseed, when it gets closer to their end date.
How much beef do I get?
On the main page, click each image of 1/4, 1/2, or whole beef to get a detailed list of approximate cuts, weight, and freezer space needed.
How much deposit is needed?
50% of the total cost is needed for a deposit, via VENMO, CASH, or CHECK. The prices are based on the average whole beef at 850# hanging weight. Therefore, a 1/4 beef deposit is $637, a 1/2 beef deposit is $1275, and a whole beef deposit would be $2550. Deposit amounts are also listed on the 1/4, 1/2, and whole linked pages. The balance will be due when you take possession of your beef.
What does "hanging weight" mean?
Hanging weight refers to how much the cow weighs after it has been butchered and cleaned up to "hang"/ age in the meat locker.
What happens after I give the deposit?
Visit [or call] the butcher (BucknBull Meatworx) to fill out a cut sheet. They are knowledgeable and can help you decide on standard cuts or if you want to specialize any cuts in your order.
How long does it take to get the beef?
If we have supply available, it is generally 3 weeks from the kill date (2 weeks for aging and 1 week for processing.) The butcher will call you when it is ready for pick up.
How will my meat be packaged?
All beef will be:

Can I cancel and/or get a refund?
The full deposit will only be refunded if the request to cancel has been made PRIOR to the kill date. Please confirm your request by speaking directly to the owner, Joe Zimmerman.
What is Z-Ranch's return policy?
Perishable goods (aka beef) are exempt from being returned. However, your satisfaction is a priority. Please let us know of any issues.
